A large home for a large family! This unique home was originally built by us in 1974: a 1325 sq ft brick rambler with basement and attached 625 sq ft 2 car garage. We remodeled the original kitchen a couple of years after the addition, and also put in a "summer" kitchen in the laundry area of the basement. Stoves and clothes dryer are all gas. There are two high efficiency gas furnace/water heater units for the old and new parts of the home, and three air conditioning units for different zones. The legal accessory apartment over the garage has two bedrooms and a separate entrance and separate garage, but also has a doorway that can be used to make the apartment part of the main house. At present we collect rent of $690 per month for this apartment. This home sits on 1/3 acre with play area, garden area, fruit trees, and a 16x20 ft storage shed. The office area of the home has a two story solarium with the 600 sq ft master bedroom above the office.

The home is highly energy efficient, with minimal use of heat or air conditioning required. We even have a lemon tree in the solarium which produces dozens of lemons if we remember to act like bees and pollinate the blossoms each year. This home is located near the center of Orem, just a few blocks from the city park, library, grocery stores, schools and churches. It is in a neighborhood of primarily single family homes, with some duplexes and fourplexes. We are now empty nesters and would like to find a new family to take over this home. The last appraisal in Sep 2006 was for $720,000. Utah property values continue to climb at a steady rate. Price is negotiable and terms flexible.
